From July 12 to 20, Udine hosts the world\u2019s Jazz elite<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGENERATIONS\u201d IS THE THEME FOR THE 2025 EDITION \u2013 A JOURNEY CONNECTING THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE OF JAZZ<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the most anticipated events are live performances by global phenomenon Jacob Collier, legend Herbie Hancock, talented pianist Raphael Gualazzi, the new collaborative project by Paolo Fresu and Omar Sosa, as well as rising stars Isaiah Collier, Vincen Garc\u00eda, and Matteo Mancuso<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The closing event will feature The Amy Winehouse Band, the original ensemble that accompanied the unforgettable British artist, in a powerful tribute performance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The countdown has begun for the 35th edition of Udin&Jazz International Festival<\/strong>, an event that for over three decades has stood as one of the most important on the jazz circuit, both nationally and across Europe. The 2025 edition offers a rich program: the city of Udine will host nine vibrant days, from Saturday, July 12 to Sunday, July 20<\/strong>, packed with top-tier Italian and international acts, including live performances, jam sessions, and cultural deep-dives focusing on jazz music and heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In keeping with tradition, the 2025 edition is built around a central theme: \u201cGenerations\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abNever before has the festival connected such a wide range of generations,\u00bb says artistic director Giancarlo Velliscig. \u00abFrom the legendary Herbie Hancock<\/strong> to the revolutionary young talent Jacob Collier<\/strong>, to the new generation of musicians such as Matteo Mancuso<\/strong>, Vincen Garc\u00eda<\/strong> and American saxophonist Isaiah Collier<\/strong> \u2013 this is a time-traveling journey through the very best of global jazz\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

Rising U.S. saxophonist Isaiah Collier<\/strong> leads a high-energy, spiritual set mixing ritual, identity, and celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 15 \u2013 Jacob Collier (Udine Castle, 9:30 PM)<\/strong>
British genre-defying genius Jacob Collier<\/strong> brings his visionary orchestral universe to life in a sold-out concert. With 7 Grammy Awards and 15 nominations, Collier fuses jazz, pop, classical, and world music into an unforgettable performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 16 \u2013 Herbie Hancock (Udine Castle, 9:30 PM)<\/strong>
A living jazz icon, Herbie Hancock<\/strong> returns to Italy with a stellar band on his global tour. Expect a deep dive into modal jazz, fusion, electronics, and free-form improvisation from a 14-time Grammy winner and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 18 \u2013 Raphael Gualazzi & Naonis Orchestra (Udine Castle, 9:30 PM)<\/strong>
Pianist and singer Raphael Gualazzi<\/strong> reinvents his catalog with symphonic power, blending jazz, blues, and operatic drama. With orchestral arrangements by Stefano Nanni and the Naonis Orchestra conducted by Valter Sivilotti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 19 \u2013 Vincen Garc\u00eda & Matteo Mancuso (Udine Castle, from 9:00 PM)<\/strong>
Double bill with two of jazz\u2019s freshest innovators:
\u2022 Vincen Garc\u00eda<\/strong> (9:00 PM) \u2013 the Spanish bassist fuses funk, jazz, and hip-hop with a massive online following.
\u2022 Matteo Mancuso<\/strong> (10:00 PM) \u2013 the Italian fingerstyle guitar phenomenon bending jazz-rock traditions with electric flair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 20 \u2013 Celebrating Amy (Udine Castle, 8:00 PM)<\/strong>
A heartfelt tribute to Amy Winehouse<\/strong>, featuring her original touring band and led by vocalist Bronte Shand\u00e9<\/strong>. A soul-stirring finale, framed by a Udin&Jazz party with food, drinks, and a soul\/blues DJ set by Renato Pontoni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
